No matter where you live in Rhydyfelin, you’re not more than 10 minutes away from rural land which is home to hundreds of farm animals and crops.

Respect the local environment

Please take care to follow these simple rules when exploring the built-up and rural areas in and around Rhydyfelin.

  • Do not drop litter. This includes chewing gum, food wrappers, cigarette butts and just about anything else. Put it in the bin. If there is not a bin nearby, keep your rubbish with you until you find one. It’s not difficult.
  • Keep noise to a minimum. It’s great fun if you’re part of an organised quad bike activity, but don’t take noisy vehicles up onto the line (Taff Trail) or Eglwysilan late at night. It disturbs residents and animals.
  • Report fly-tipping to the Council. If you noticed fly-tipped waste anywhere, please report it to Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council.
  • Pick up after your dog. There are an ample number of red bins for dog pop. Use them.
